On November 12, 2021, Dr. Wenxuan Chen at Saelink Law, was invited to the special online seminar “EU and Asia in The Digitalized World”, communicating and sharing his opinions on new challenges that cross-border e-commerce platforms are facing under the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Wenxuan Chen introduced the latest legislation, newest law-enforcements and judicial practices of data security, personal information protection, cross-border e-commerce compliance, and platform competition laws in China. He thinks that the internet economy in China has made significant progress within recent years, which, meanwhile, brings about huge challenges on legal issues. And the regulations in the field of internet economy and the impact of COVID-19 pandemic require the cross-border e-commerce operators to act adaptably. Chen’s speech focused on the latest legislations, law-enforcements, and judicial practices in Intellectual Property protection, antitrust, data compliance, and personal information protection, and provided his suggestions to cross-border enterprises .

The online special seminar was hosted by the University of Copenhagen, which is the highest institution of Denmark and one of the top educational and scientific research institutions. Experts, scholars and active practitioners at law from Asia and Europe attended the seminar.
